What we collect

Build a Hooper can be played without an account. In that case your game progress — finished runs, leaderboard entries and achievement unlocks — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never leaves your browser, and clearing your browser data erases it.

Optional accounts and the global leaderboard

You can optionally sign in (via Google) to post finished runs to the public global leaderboard. If you do, we store: your account identifier, the display name provided by your sign-in provider, and your run results (mode, position, record, awards, ratings). Runs you post appear publicly on the leaderboard under that display name. You can delete your own runs, and signing out stops any further uploads. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we never see your password.

Cookies and similar technologies

The game itself does not set tracking cookies. We may use third-party services that set cookies or use similar technologies for the purposes described below.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting or standard analytics services (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, approximate region, browser type. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Advertising

We may display advertising served by third parties such as Google AdSense. These providers may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

Embedded fonts

Pages load web fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch font files, which exposes your IP address to Google as with any web resource request.

Children's privacy

The site is a free browser game suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change (for example, adding accounts or an online leaderboard), this page will be updated before those features go live.
